- Adaptive Materials Inc. makes fuel-cell technology which, in combination with a small propane tank, can run electronics and vehicles. The company made a $2.8 million move to a 47,000-square-foot headquarters in Pittsfield Township in March. The company recently tested its fuel cell's power by flying a small plane for more than 10 hours.
