Downtown Ypsilanti runs primarily along Michigan Avenue, from the Huron River on the east to around Ballard Street on the west; north past Pearl Street and south past Ferris Street. It contains a number of stores, restaurants, lofts, offices, venues, bars, and government offices, but also contains several vacant storefronts and buildings in need of some love.
