{{store |owner=John Metzger, grandson of founder William Metzger |web=http://www.metzgers.net } Metzgers is one of two German restaurants in Ann Arbor, the other being The Heidelberg. They are open for lunch and dinner.

Metzgers isn't actually in Ann Arbor proper anymore. After closing shop downtown some years ago, they reopened just north of I-94 on Zeeb Road, in Baxter's Plaza.

The food is great, if you like German food. If you don't, they also have a selection of Americanish dishes and seafood. And an omelet. Prices range from $12-25, must things are around $17. The Omelet is $6.95.

In the bar, they have a half-dozen German beers on tap. Their mixed drinks are huge, bigger even than Knight's. The Manhattan is pretty perfect on the rocks, and you only need one.

It's pretty busy there between 6 and 8 most nights. They take reservations though.

Monday night is all-you-can-eat crab legs.
