Michigan Firehouse Museum

The Michigan Firehouse Museum is located at 110 W. Cross Street. They house antique fire trucks as well as artifacts and items relating to fire-fighting throughout Michigan's history. They are open Monday - Saturday 10 AM to 4 PM and Sundays 2 to 5 PM. Admission is $3 for adults, $2 for students and seniors, and $1.50 for children ages 6 through 15. Under 5 is admitted for free.

The building the museum is located in was built in 1898 and housed the Ypsilanti Fire Department; the Depot Town Rag notes that the building was constructed to "mollify the west-side acrimony", with the north end of the Thompson Block in Depot Town serving as the east side's firehouse.
